Twin Shaft Disperser are mixers that will disperse pastes far too heavy for single shaft Speed Dispersers in excess of 300,000 centipoises. This dual mixer is a two machine in one combining the dispersing action of a high speed shaft and disc impeller with the high shear action of the heavy duty open impeller.

Design Highlights:

To increase the dispersion of high gloss coatings, and in many cases eliminate the need for sand milling of fine grind finishes. Twin Shaft Disperser is suggested, which has two high-speed shafts, each with variable speed and two impellers.

HOW IS IT WORK?

  • In a twin/dual shaft disperser, materials are mixed under laminar condition rather than turbulent mixing. It works in slow speed of a shaft or slow RPM.
  • The high viscous product is pushed into the working zone of the high shear blade and lower shear blade that mixed, dispersed and dissolves the materials.
  • Teflon scrapers available in the mixing unit which cleans the mixer walls during operation and helps to reduce the wastage of materials and improve the mixing product quality and aids in heat transfer to an external jacket.

  • The high shear mixer is designed for sanitary applications and can be configured to meet compliance with FDA norms. Our high shear mixers can also be supplied with ATEX approved motors or IEC -60079 Flameproof/explosion-proof motors with certification for hazardous applications.
  • Inlet and Outlet: Can be designed as per the specific requirement ( Flanged, DIN connections, Tri-clamp, ASA, etc. )
  • Control panel: ATEX approved control panels can also be supplied with our high shear mixers.
  • Motors: TEFC ( Totally enclosed fan cool ), Explosion-proof / ATEX certified motors can be supplied as standard to be used with frequency inverters or starters. Wash down motors and stainless motors can also be supplied.
  • Rotor/ stator: Can be supplied extra with each high shear mixer ( Expect the 4 stage model ) and can be used interchangeably as per the application.
